Research

Tamara completed her PhD in 2013 which explored the academic, neuropsychological and mental health profiles of primary school aged girls and boys with ASD over time. She continues to work as a senior research fellow in addition to practicing as a psychologist. She has a particular research focus on gender and exploring why girls are less likely to be diagnosed with neurodevelopmental disorders than boys.

Furthermore, Tamara has published more recently on the prevalence of ASD within Australia which has seen a rapid rise over the last few years. In addition, she researches the use of TMS for depression in adults, schema therapy in depression and complex trauma, and the profile of adults with ADHD.

Tamara has over 60 peer reviewed journal articles, six book chapters and has presented her work at numerous national and international conferences.
